The 5-minute drainage reset
A glass of salted water, 6 nodes and 7 moves, in that order. Do it every morning this week and keep an eye on your face in the mirror.
Your lymph has no pump
Your lymph is the network that carries extra fluid, waste and used hormones out of your tissues. Your blood has your heart pushing it around all day. Your lymph has nothing like that, it only moves when you move, breathe deep and drink enough.
When it sits, the waste sits with it and gets reabsorbed, and that's where the puffy face, the evening bloating and the heavy legs come from. You can't pour clean water into a clogged sink, so drainage comes before eating, movement and recovery.
Water, then open the exits, then pump
Water with a pinch of sea salt
Your lymph is mostly water. When you're low it gets thick and sluggish and can't flow the way it needs to. The salt adds the minerals that help your cells actually absorb the water, instead of it running straight through you to the bathroom.
- On waking, a large glass of water with a small pinch of good sea salt or Himalayan salt. It shouldn't taste salty, you're only adding minerals.
- 2 large glasses before your coffee, 2 more before midday. Front-load the morning and the rest of the day follows much easier.
- Aim for 8 to 10 glasses across the day. Coffee and tea only count partly, because caffeine pulls some water back out.
- Keep a glass next to your bed, your kettle and wherever you work. Make the water closer than the decision to drink it.
Urine pale straw yellow for most of the day. Anything darker means drink more.
Sip it slowly instead of downing it, and add the salt. Water with minerals gets absorbed slower and more fully.
Thirst is a late signal. By the time you feel it, your cells are already behind.
Open the 6 nodes, top to bottom
Your nodes are the exits where lymph drains. Everything in your body empties at your collarbones in the end, so you open that one first and work your way down. Push fluid toward a door that's still shut and it has nowhere to go.
Do all 6 with me, start to finish (9 min). After that, the sequence takes you 2 minutes on your own.

Your exits are open, now you pump. Every one of these squeezes your lymph vessels with your own muscles, which is the only pump your lymph gets. Tap a move to see it.
Follow along, 30 seconds per move. The timer runs and the next move starts on its own.
Start the 7 movesStay in a comfortable range and stop if anything hurts.
7 mornings in a row
Do it 7 days straight, then look at your face on morning 1 and morning 7. That's your proof.
